February 17 this year, Oleksiy Bezhevets, Partner, Legal Alliance Company, held an Internet Conference on taxes paid by the representative offices of non-resident entities in Ukraine.
At the Internet Conference the issues were discussed dealing with the legal framework governing the operation of non-resident entities’ representative offices in Ukraine, the procedure for accrual of taxes, tax inspections carried out on such representative offices, and tax-related risks.
Mr. Bezhevets also provided his clarifications with respect to the difference existed as to the identification and taxes paid by non-profit representative offices and commercial representative offices carrying out business operations in Ukraine as pursuant to international conventions and regulatory acts issued by the State Tax Administration of Ukraine (GNAU).
